POLITICAL HISTORY
Politically, Bruce has been engaged in the political struggle for our liberty dating back to his college days. Bruce has been a boots-on-the-ground civil rights activist for decades. His activism has been well documented. In college, Bruce founded the college Libertarian club. Bruce was a registered Libertarian until 2006 when he finally accepted that the game was rigged against all other than the current two parties. Bruce has been registered as a Republican ever since.
In 2003 the San Fernando Valley launched an effort to secede from the City of Los Angeles. Bruce was widely involved in that movement, and ran to be the first Mayor of the new proposed City of San Fernando Valley. Unfortunately, the secession movement failed. There was no new city, and no new mayor.
In 2018, Bruce launched a 3-year legal challenge to restrictions limiting who may run for Sheriff in California. Those challenges did not achieve the desired result. Undaunted, Bruce ran for Ventura County Clerk and Recorder in 2022
Throughout Covid, Bruce has championed the movement against unconstitutional mandates and restrictions. At the urging of friends and followers, Bruce agreed to run for California's 26th Congressional District and on September 17th (Constitution Day) Bruce announced his intent to run as a United States Representative in Congress. Bruce is excited at the prospect of serving the community as their Representative in Congress, where he will fight to protect your rights, liberties and where he will defend the Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.
